Freshness you can taste

✓ Gently steam-cooked
✓ Natural ingredients
✓ 100% human-grade quality

As natural as home-cooked. As convenient as dry food.

Conventional dry and wet food is heavily processed. High temperatures can destroy valuable natural nutrients, which then have to be artificially added back later. Dry food also typically contains a high proportion of carbohydrates, often used as fillers for technological reasons — and potentially contributing to excess weight.

BARF (raw feeding) or home-cooked meals can be more nutritious, but they require extensive knowledge to ensure proper nutritional balance. They are also time-consuming and may carry risks, such as bacterial contamination from raw meat.

So we asked ourselves: can this be done better?

With Tasty, dogs get fresh food in a jar. Gently steam-cooked, human-grade ingredients, carefully formulated and preserved — with no refrigeration needed.

Because dog owners shouldn’t have to choose between quality and convenience. With Tasty Petfood, we’re proving that you can have both.

How does Tasty compare to other dog food?

Fresh food in a jar

High-quality, human-grade ingredients

Clearly labeled, high meat content and fresh vegetables. No by-products or unnecessary fillers.

Safe formulations without unnecessary additives

Gently preserved – without artificial preservatives or hidden ingredients.

Gentle processing for maximum nutrient retention

Steamed instead of heated to high temperatures. Flavor and nutrients are preserved.

Suitable for everyday use without cooling

Shelf-stable in a glass jar, easy to portion and flexible – even on the go.

dry or wet food

Highly fluctuating ingredient quality

Often byproducts or fillers. Quality varies greatly depending on the manufacturer.

Additives difficult to classify

Long ingredient lists with preservatives and additives, often lacking transparency.

Heavy industrial processing

High temperatures and processing steps can impair nutrients.

Easy to store

Practical for everyday use, but with compromises in terms of freshness and individualization.

Frozen fresh food

Fresh ingredients with a good nutritional base

High-quality recipes with a high proportion of fresh meat.

Dependence on the cold chain

Quality depends heavily on transport, storage, and thawing.

gently processed

Good nutrient retention when stored correctly.

Less suitable for everyday use

Freezer compartment and defrosting required – inconvenient when traveling.

How good is your dog's food really?

Many dog foods look good at first glance. With the Tasty Dog Food Checker , we reveal what's really in your dog's food.

Natural ingredients

High protein content
Our varieties are single-protein recipes, meaning each variety contains only one animal protein source (e.g., chicken or beef), without any protein mix. The meat and offal content is around 70%, providing high-quality, easily digestible protein.

No artificial preservatives
We only use fresh food. Only what truly belongs in the bowl.

✓ No grain
Instead, select fruits, vegetables and minerals for a balanced meal.

Gently steamed

Fresh ingredients such as meat and offal are first slowly steamed at low temperatures. Only then are blanched vegetables, high-quality oils, and natural minerals added.

Nutrients are retained

Not an unappetizing mass, but pleasantly chunky

Irresistible taste

Pleasant scent

Shelf life in a glass jar

After gentle preparation, the food is filled into jars, sealed airtight and preserved.

No cooling required
Unopened jars can be stored at room temperature – practical for the kitchen, pantry, or on the go. Once opened, simply store the food in the refrigerator.

No plastic, no can
We deliberately choose glass over plastic or cans. Resealable, hygienic and tasteless – ideal for fresh food.

Fresh food in a jar is a new category: fresh ingredients, gently steam-cooked and mildly pasteurized, without strong overheating.

In comparison:

  • Wet food is sealed airtight and sterilized at up to 130 °C. This process significantly alters the aroma, vitamins, and texture.
  • Dry pet food is extruded (150–200 °C). This requires starch as a filler to make the kibble malleable – meat alone is not technologically sufficient. Artificial vitamins and fats often have to be sprayed on afterwards.

Tasty, on the other hand, remains natural, chunky and nutrient-rich – and does not require a cold chain.

The key lies in the process: We only lightly precook the ingredients and then pasteurize the food in a sealed jar. This gentle heat reliably reduces germs without overcooking the recipe.

Unopened, the jar will keep for a year – without any refrigeration. Once opened, it should be refrigerated.

Our recipes consist of natural ingredients that are beneficial for dogs – and nothing more.
The foundation is muscle meat for high-quality protein, supplemented by offal that provides essential vitamins and minerals. We then combine this with vegetable-based fiber , fresh fruit , herbs , and high-quality oils to ensure a complete nutritional profile.

The combination follows three principles:

  1. Naturalness: Ingredients that dogs can easily digest.
  2. Nutritional depth: Every ingredient has a nutritional purpose – no filler, no decorative trend.
  3. Tolerability: For stable digestion and high acceptance.

In short: Every component is deliberately chosen – nothing is “just there” to lengthen the list.

Many dry pet foods require grain as a technological "glue" for extrusion, the manufacturing process. Since we don't extrude, we don't need starch as a filler. Our focus is on easy digestibility, natural nutritional depth, and a high proportion of meat, offal, and vegetables. Small amounts of carbohydrates are easily digestible – but they don't have to form the basis of the diet.

Food quality means: Our ingredients meet the same standards that apply to human consumption – in origin, processing, hygiene and storage.
For you, this means complete transparency without inferior by-products or generic terms. For your dog, it means consistent quality, high digestibility, and natural taste.
